Baby Monitor iSitter App Reviews

This app works fine as a baby monitor. We have an old device as the baby unit with the light app on it & use it over wifi (couldnt get Bluetooth to work). It works in the room next door or down 2 floors, no problems. Connection only interrupted if baby unit makes sounds, so I set it to Do Not Disturb to disable notifications.

This app is the worst. Seems to work well at first, then gets real spotty. Thought it was my wifi connection, but thats good, so I reinstalled and then it seemed to work, so I paid for it so I could use video, and of course, now it runs all spotty. Just do yourself a favor and buy a baby monitor. Id love a refund, but heck, it was only $4 so whatever.

New update is better sound, more of a delay between both units, and cuts out after about 8-10 hours. That is on a lucky night. The app has been disconnecting more frequently now but when it reconnects there is complete silence and I have to shut down the app and reopen it for the first time or it will only show the Connected screen showing it is working properly, when it is Not. Wow. I am really impressed with the free version of this app. My husband and I havent been able to decide in a baby monitor for our son and one day we needed to step away while he was asleep. I found this app and was very impressed at how simple it was to use. It works wonderfully on Wi-Fi (its once gone to Bluetooth) and you get sound (of course w a slight delay) as it happens and a refreshed image every 10 seconds. This has come in handy many times and will be great when away from home as long as you have your two devices.

This app is great and its free! The only trouble Im having is when I leave the house it no longer works, even with both devices (Ipad and iPhone) having Bluetooth on. It just keeps saying listening with Bluetooth and reconnecting. At home it works just as it says tho! Has a slight delay in sound but its a great app for being free! And you hear EVERY little sound too. :)

This app is great and very convenient, until you have a poor connection. We used this monitor as a backup after our other monitor died. I was pleased with it and it worked well until one night there was a poor connection. I got less sleep due to the apps constant dinging than my baby waking up. I reset the app, powered on and off both devices, and reset the wifi and nothing helped every 10 minutes the monitor would lose connection so I ended up having to sleep in the floor in the babys room to be able to get some sleep.

At first it worked, than it started resetting the connection and it never stops. Practically useless at this point. Other than that very easy to use. If they fix the bugs will be my favorite.

My husband and I used this app successfully once. Since then, we have been unable to get the apps to connect. We have since replaced it with Cloud Baby Monitor, and it works great! I cant believe how much easier it is to use than this frustration-ridden iSitter app. Dont waste your time.

Useful in a pinch if the baby falls asleep away from your usual baby monitor. Works great for a free app. Good use of an old phone.

Highly recommend this app to anyone. It picks up way better than the one I already have. Love it!!!!

Doesnt connect with my other device!!

Why is it so slow?? It does conect to other devices just slow

The app does what is says it does (sends streaming sound and a pic every 10 secs between iOS devices), but nothing more without paying. I had trouble not getting uselessly noisy sound (in a quiet room - sleeping baby, you know) and had to turn the siund all the way down. Also, when I walked out to the yard (still with 3 of 4 bars) I was not able to reconnect the devices which is a deal breaker. I will not use this app again. I will just use FaceTime, since thats about the same as you can get free from this app - but I know FaceTime works every time. FYI - what I am looking for in a monitor app is 100% reliable connection and some settings for when I should pay attention; alerts when sound goes over x decibel, or when there is movement on the camera. Text style alert preferred.

Free... Waste of time. Disconnects constantly. The annoying disconnected alert sound wakes you up in the middle of the night. Just plain garbage.

This seriously doesnt work so dont even waste your time.

Waste your time and effort on this one - you cant change the settings for free - which makes it pointless

Simple and effective, sound will be the most important thing. Simple y efectivo, el sonido es lo mas importante.

I have the free version, so I didnt expect a lot of perks. Its a neat little app to use on vacations if you dont want to pack your real monitor. But, I wouldnt recommend it as your full time baby monitor. I use it a few days a week when I babysit. The camera feature is basically useless unless you put your child for a nap on a very bright room. We use blackout curtains, so the picture is just darkness. It does disconnect quite often, and I usually have to go in and make sure its still connected. Okay, great for temporary use or use while traveling, but I definitely recommend something more legit for full time use.

My only complaint is that the ads cover the volume slider on iPhone 6.

Just wish you could use the camera on the front of iPads and iPhones too, I use it all the time and can connect to many 3 devices at a time!
