Baby Monitor iSitter App Reviews

Reliable & Easy to use

We use this on vacation often - works everytime.

Needs improvements

Good start. But premium upgrades need improvements! Ive paid for premium and white noise upgrades but cant restore purchases. App says we need to be logged into same Apple ID, but doesnt work consistently. Plus, this is poorly designed, because this app, by its nature, requires two devices (e.g. Two spouses phones), which are very likely to be logged in as separate Apple IDs. But even when logged in as same Apple ID, the restore previous purchase functionality doesnt work. Once this is fixed, this is a 5 star app.

Great little app

Great use for all those old iPhones we have laying around!

Love this app.. So useful and i hope that it can work with 3g not only wifi and bluetooth.

Great.

Have been using this as backup monitor for years. The best.

Solid and (mostly) basic

I use this app every day. Its got the basics covered: listen for my kids. It has a video feature, but without some kind of iphone stand, thats not very useful. Its very reliable, even on otherwise lousy networks (no miracles, but very forgiving; my lousy cable modem doesnt reliably let clients using different wifi versions talk to each other, but iSitter manages somehow!). The free version works fine but gets aggressive about making you upgrade. One of the really excellent features is the support (via "iSitter Baby") for old iPhones - that lets me repurpose old iPhones as "always on" high-security digital baby monitors that I can listen to with the phone in my pocket. It supports multiple monitors on the same network, which is REALLY handy for those with multiple little kids. Also, the developer has proven very responsive to trouble reports. All in all, its a solid and ultra-reliable app. Ive tried several competitors, and they werent nearly so reliable, nor were their developers anywhere near as committed to making it work. You wont be disappointed by this app.

Authorization prompt kills this.

This app was perfect. But for some reason the developers decided to complicate it by adding an pairing authorization step. If you have multiple devices in your family, this will drive you nuts, because you have to physically press a button on the baby unit everytime you use a new device. I would appreciate it if this feature was removed.

Nope

Constantly drops connection and the range is pitiful.

Baby monitor - works as described

This app works fine as a baby monitor. We have an old device as the baby unit with the light app on it & use it over wifi (couldnt get Bluetooth to work). It works in the room next door or down 2 floors, no problems. Connection only interrupted if baby unit makes sounds, so I set it to Do Not Disturb to disable notifications.
